Scar House and Angram Reservoir

Today Denise and I went for a walk around Scar House and Angram Reservoir. This is based in north Yorkshire on the edge of Pateley Bridge and was built in 1920. This is a really nice walk, but take some warm clothes as the moors can be a harsh place if unprepared!

Maybe She's a Clone

Finally we got ourselves sorted and played our first gig. The venue was at the Josephs’ Well in Leeds and we were the second band on and all a little bit nervous. We had lots of support from all our friends and I think it went quite well. There were a few mistakes here and there but we were generally well received.

Snowboarding in Les des Alpes

Holiday time and this time it's snowboarding! There were 5 of us from Leeds and Liv (Rosey's friend). We flew to Grenoble and spent the night there then caught the bus to Les des Alpes.
Denise and I had very little experience of snowboarding apart from one session at Castleford snow dome. It's quite annoying when you can already ski and you have to learn a completely new skill, but as the week progressed we gradually got the idea. My advice to anyone starting snowboarding would be to buy some impact shorts these protect your bum and you will find you fall on this a great deal when learning!!

Fly Fishing

This weekend my dad and I went for a weekend fly-fishing course in Hampshire. I have only had a quick at fly fishing previous to this in France so I didn't really know what to expect.

The first day we were taught the theory of fly-fishing and spent quite a long time on the lawn next to the lakes practicing our casting techniques without out hooks.

Fly fishing is a sport full of innuendo, although I think I was the only one chuckling when we were told to sort out our tackle and the check our stiff rods!!

The first day I went home without a fish but on the second day I managed to catch two rainbow trout about 2lbs each.

Lake District

A long weekend away and we decided to go to the lakes. We went for a really nice walk on the west side of lake Windermere.

We stayed in a cottage in the Windermere town and caught the car ferry over to the other side. This is well worth a visit if you get a chance, it's super pretty over there and there is lots of wildlife to spot.

On the way home we stopped off at Malham as Denise had never been there. I took her to Janet’s Foss and up to the cove.

Where is Mr Spoon

Tonight we watched the Lunar Eclipse. It was a clear night and denise, me and dom went into the garden to watch the moon dissapear then turn red in a flash gordon end of the world way. I wanted to capture the event on camera and spent about 10 mins in the garden with the camera on a tripod trying to get a half decent picture of it. This proved to be quite difficult as i don't really know how to use the camera. Anyway here is the result.

My Birthday

Another year older so we had a party at our house. Everyone had fun and plenty to drink and eat. I can't be getting that old as the party was still going on 'til 4:30am. I also had a nice cake with plenty of candles. Cheers to everyone that came along!!!
